Mardi Gras Queens: 'Lulu LaBelle--Spirit of the Parade'

Lulu LaBelle blooms where color meets rhythm.  She bursts to life in a swirl of floral hues and festive shimmer.  Her mask was built from painted collage papers and adorned with delicate beads and metallic fragments.  Acrylic washes blend into soft blushes and teals while hidden layers of vintage paper peek through, whispering of stories from past carnivals.  Lulu is bold, bright, and brimming with joy--the life of the parade and the heart of the celebration.  She's got the spirit of Mardi Gras in her smile and the South in her soul.
